Your Pet’s First Veterinary Visit in Stockton

Your first appointment helps our veterinary team get to know your pet beyond the basics. We may ask about their diet, activity level, behavior, previous medical care, medications, vaccine history, and any recent changes you have noticed at home.

During the visit, your veterinarian will typically perform a nose-to-tail physical exam. This may include checking your pet’s eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, skin, coat, weight, nails, heart, lungs, and overall body condition.

This appointment also gives you time to bring up questions, share concerns, and talk through your pet’s preventive care needs. From there, we can recommend next steps based on your pet’s age, species, lifestyle, and health history.

I hereby consent and authorize Venetian Pet Hospital to receive, prescribe for, treat and/or operate upon any of my pets here. You are to use all reasonable precautions against injury, escape, or destruction of the animal(s), but you will not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever, or any circumstances on account described or otherwise in connection therewith, as it is thoroughly understood to assume all risks. Written notice will be mailed to the above address to remove the animal(s). Ten days after such written notice the animal(s) will be considered abandoned and you may do with the animal(s) whatever may be necessary, as you deem best, and it is understood that your doing so does not relieve incurred in the collection of costs for services rendered. I have read and understand the foregoing and agree. I also agree to Venetian Pet Hospital using photographs or video of my pet and/or myself for the purpose of posting on their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and clinic website. I release & discharge Venetian Pet Hospital from any & all claims arising out of the photos and or videos.
