What to Expect During Your First Visit

What will happen during your first appointment? Our Stockton veterinary team always starts with a wellness exam. This thorough physical evaluation will help us learn more about your pet’s overall health, including the condition of their fur, skin, eyes, nails, gums, and teeth. Your pet’s new vet will also ask you questions about your pet’s life, including their diet, lifestyle, behavior, age, and more. Our goal is to assess your pet’s overall health and personalize a veterinary regimen for them.

Online forms to Shorten Your Wait

At Venetian Pet Hospital, we do our best to minimize your wait and get to know your pets as well as we can. That’s why we want you to fill out your pet intake form from the comfort of home, where you have time to answer every question thoroughly.

After you make an appointment, please fill out our new patient registration form. This questionnaire covers all the basic information we need about you and your pet(s), and it also allows you to sign up for our newsletter about pet wellness.

Payment Options

We collect payment during your visit, rather than billing you later. We accept checks, cash, and most major credit cards, including Visa, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard.

We also accept multiple pet insurance policies, as well as CareCredit and Scratchpay. CareCredit is a special veterinary credit card with low payments and delayed interest. If you need financial assistance, our team will help you apply for CareCredit. The process takes minutes and takes a huge weight off the shoulders of many pet parents.

1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients’ needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.

2. We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.

3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well.  Venetian Pet Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments.  You can either apply at our hospital, where we’ll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at:  www.CareCredit.com.
